Indira Gandhi had killed the leaders of the opposition in the Emergency in prison, then she was thrown in jail. After 3 years of being put in jail, in 1978, Bholanath Pandey and her friend Devendra Nath Pandey had hijacked the plane of Indian Airlines. And it was agreed that Indira Gandhi should be released from prison and all charges and charges against her son Sanjay Gandhi should be canceled. They then surrendered in the presence of the media. Pleading with Hijacking to relieve Indira Gandhi from prison, the Congress gave Pandey the first assembly ticket and the Lok Sabha's first assembly ticket.
इंदिरा गाँधी ने इमरजेंसी में विपक्ष के नेताओ को जेल में मरवा दिया था , तब उन्हें जेल में दाल दिया गया था जेल में डालने के ३ साल बाद १९७८ में भोलानाथ पांडेय और उसके दोस्त देवेंद्र नाथ पांडेय ने इंडियन एयरलाइन्स का प्लेन हाईजैक कर लिया था। और शर्त राखी थी की इंदिरा गाँधी को जेल से रिहा कर दिया जाये और उनके पुत्र संजय गाँधी पर लगाए सारे आरोप और केस रद्द कर दिए जाये। उन्होने फिर मिडिया की उपस्थिति में आत्मसमर्पण किया था। इंदिरा गाँधी को जेल को जेल से छुड़वाने के लिए हाईजैक करने से खुश होकर कांग्रेस ने पांडेय को पहले विधानसभा का टिकट दिया और लोकसभा का।
